The Journal of Voluntary Sector Research

We publish The Journal of Voluntary Sector Research to provide a showcase for the best research carried out by, or for, the voluntary sector.

The journal has been welcomed by Minister for the Third Sector, Phil Hope MP, who said:

"This journal is part of a growing effort to go beyond the celebration of specific instances. It is part of a collective desire to develop a stronger and broader body of evidence on the work of the sector and its impact, and to share learning more effectively between practitioners and those with an academic interest in the voluntary sector, and indeed the wider third sector."

"This enhanced evidence base is essential not only to support policy, but also to enable third sector organisations to continuously adapt and improve their work, to ensure that the sector has the greatest possible impact in people's lives. I am delighted that The Journal of Voluntary Sector Research has taken up this challenge, and I warmly welcome it."

The first issue of The Journal of Voluntary Sector Research (Volume 1, Issue 1, 2008) is now available to download at no charge for a limited period.

The journal may also be purchased in print format (concessionary rate for individuals and registered charities).
